Researchers have made a significant discovery regarding an early Hebrew inscription found on a folded lead tablet in the vicinity of Mount Ebal near Nablus.

The tablet, uncovered during an excavation in the 1980s, recently underwent x-ray tomographic measurements to unveil concealed text, the Jerusalem Post reported.

Through epigraphic analysis of the data, scholars have identified a formulaic curse inscribed in a proto-alphabetic script that likely originated during the Late Bronze Age.
