Georgia prosecutor fights The Don’s effort to remove her from election probe

On Monday, the Georgia prosecutor leading the investigation into potential legal violations by Donald Trump and his associates in their efforts to overturn the 2020 election results in the state responded to the former president’s attempt to remove her from the case and exclude specific evidence.

Trump’s legal team in Georgia filed a motion in March seeking the dismissal of a special grand jury report and requesting that any evidence or testimony resulting from the panel’s investigation be inadmissible.

They also sought to prevent Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and her office from further investigating or prosecuting the case, the Associated Press reported.
