Art- a blanket statement covering basically all aspects of human creation and expression. This building? Art. That song you like? Art. That manifesto you live by? Art.

This is a video where you’re gonna get tired of hearing the word “art”. This is a video where most people will probably click off once I get to the disagreeable parts, and yeah. It goes without saying that this video will underperform. This video is a statement of intent. It is likely the most meaningful video I feel I’ve created thus far. Sorry if it’s not as light-hearted as usual.

As I explained in my manifesto– nah im just kidding, my bio on social media– I firmly believe that art is the truest expression of the human spirit, and that it must be protected at all costs. Art is an expression which allows people to portray their mind in ways they wouldn’t be able to with simple speech. Metaphor, allegory, and symbolism are powerful tools that bring with them the advantage of interpretability- and with interpretability comes the subjectivity of art, it’s greatest advantage.
