Fired For Trump Bumper Stickers

BREAKING NEWS: We just filed an urgent new lawsuit to defend a U.S. Navy veteran and a Washington State park volunteer and part-time employee who was fired after years of dutiful service, because he had pro-Trump bumper stickers on his truck.

That’s right, even though the stickers were on the back of his personal vehicle, our client, Gary Formhals, was given an ultimatum either to remove the stickers or forfeit his position at the park. It’s ludicrous and was clearly intended to punish a U.S. citizen for being a conservative.

Never mind that our client was celebrated for his work at the park just a few years prior. As one park official reportedly said of Mr. Formhals at the time: “I don’t know how we would run the park without him, to be honest.”

Imagine that someone dedicates their personal time to your park, helping guests and keeping things running smoothly, without incident, to the point they become an “indispensable” resource. But the moment someone complains and calls them an “insurrectionalist [sic],” you fire them. Just like that? That’s what happened, but that is not the America we’re supposed to be living in.

The choice is to surrender your right to private speech and succumb to the demands of the extremist, anti-Trump cancel culture, or lose not only your employment but also your right to volunteer at the park. That is incompatible with the U.S. Constitution, and that’s why we’re taking the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission, as well as specific individuals who were involved, to court to defend the rights of all Americans to express their opinions without fear of retribution.

Incidentally, we also discussed the new Washington State law that tramples on parents’ rights by allowing runaways – minors – to seek abortions or so-called “gender-affirming care” without parental consent or even notification. So in Washington, you can’t put a bumper sticker they don’t like on your car, but a child can undergo major life-altering surgery or abort a baby – both procedures that come with potentially dangerous consequences to their physical and mental health – without their parents’ knowledge?

Has the entire world flipped upside down? That’s why we’re fighting to defend not only children but also their parents from the insidious attacks of the radical Left.
