250521 Like and subscribe. This is an archive, check the link in the end if you are owner. We're back on the road with more American Truck Simulator, but it's time to keep things fresh and exciting. The basis of American Truck Simulator can certainly seem pretty dry, so that's why it's important to liven things up I say. Today, I've installed several mods to help bring some new life into the series. Now these mods don't exactly help me in anyway. I'm not installing infinite money mods or anything, but they do make the game look pretty neat, and also add some additional purchase options when we finally get to that point. The biggest and most obvious mod is the winter mod I have installed, which I must say looks BEAUTIFUL. The designer did a darn good job for just being a guy trying to make a ATS mod. It really creates a fairly realistic representation of snow in the simulator. Next up, we've got the Realistic Brands mod, which swaps out your Walberts for Walmarts and other such brands. Next we've got longer yellow lights. Now this one could be said to be a 'help' mod for me, but 2 seconds of yellow light, which is what ATS gives you initially is pretty ridiculous. The mod changes the length to 4.5 seconds, which is much more believable and in some places, required by law. Also installed is the Realistic Engines and Engine Sounds mod, which gives us tons of new engine options at higher levels, along with a more accurate sound package for the engine as it's used. There are still more mods I'd love to install, and as the series goes on I think I will! Hope you're enjoying the Let's Play!
