For Love's Sake - 1 Kings 3:16 - 28

King Solomon is presented with two mothers - both of whom have had a son, but only one son has survived. To find out who the real mother is, Solomon declares that he will cut the living boy in two and give half to each. The real mother immediately speaks up and pleads for the baby not to be killed, but instead, be given alive to the other woman. She was willing to sacrifice what she loved most in this world for the sake of her son. This passage is about so much more than a mother willing to give up her son just to save his life. It is about what we are willing to give up for the sake of the Son. Join us as we see this reoccurring theme throughout Scripture.
