Cellphone Video Shows CHP Helicopter Rescues Injured Hiker By Doing A Risky Maneuver

Around 6 pm, a hiker was in Alum Rock Park when he fell from a rock cropping, injuring himself.

Around 10:30 pm, CHP H-30 was requested to search for the hiker and possibly rescue him. Firefighters were in the area and could hear him yelling for help, but due to the terrain they could not see him or make access.

H-30 arrived overhead and was able to locate and rescue the hiker.
