Dumpster Diving? Or Abandoned Storage Units?

I decided to do a little experiment this weekend and purchase TWO abanadoned storage units. The storage unit finds are pretty wild so far . . . though I haven't had time to go through everything yet. I spent $206 (including all fees from the auction site) for the two units, and I think I will end up making a profit of $300-400 when all is said and done.
While dumpster diving in 2023 has been incredibly fun, this was a nice change of pace . . . rather than going through what people had thrown away, I got to go through what people were paying someone to not throw away.

The resell effort is going to be much higher here, as there is hardly any scrap metal between the two abandoned storage units. But storage unit buying is definitely looking like a good way to make a little extra money this year.

And not to worry, I will still be doing plenty of dumpster diving in the coming days :) (did a little last week and found some nice scrap metal!)
