Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill into law Friday that would effectively outlaw the use of a central bank digital currency, or CBDC, in Florida.

As a Trump-era imposed rule to swiftly deport illegal immigrants expired Friday, a federal judge granted Florida a legal victory in attempting to block the U.S. from releasing migrants without assigning court dates.

Title 42’s expiration prompted alarm bells that border patrol would begin mass-releasing migrants into the country.
In a lawsuit filed earlier on Thursday, Attorney General Ashley Moody warned that if the court does not step in, authorities would “stand down” prompting “hundreds of thousands of migrants to storm the Southwest Border.”
