In this Indonesia Travel Vlog, we try some Indonesian street food for the first time! We walked from our hotel to Block M in Jakarta in search of some street food. The first thing we ordered was Sate Ayam or Chicken Satay (or so we thought....is it chicken?!?). We then ordered some 'Ayam Pedas' which means 'spicy chicken'. It was good, however we're still not sure exactly what it was! The third thing we ordered was Bakso. Carles got a mixture of meatballs, dumplings, tofu, and soup (but no noodles). It surprisingly reminded him of a Catalan food they eat for Christmas! After we finished those three dishes, we went off to try to find some veggie street food for me.....however we didn't find any! We decided to walk to the closest martabak store as that is the one Indonesian food everyone has told us to try!!! We were unsure what to think about martabak.....there are SO many options you can order, but we went with one of the most popular ones: Martabak cokelat, keju, kacang. AKA chocolate, cheese, and peanuts, ALL MIXED TOGETHER!!! Chocolate and peanuts sounds amazing, but we had both never eaten chocolate and cheese together so we were unsure what to think! We were lucky that the people working at Martabak Boss were SO nice and they let us film the entire process so we could see how to make martabak! We were amazed that they used SO MUCH CHEESE!!! LOL! It was finally time to try our chocolate cheese martabak and it was AMAZING! I think we found our favorite Indonesian food ever!
