In the Garage With EHR: Exhausting the Basement Bird

We put the '63 bulletbird Thunderbird up on the rack to replace the exhaust and ended up fixing a trans leak as well. The 390 runs great, but the exhaust leaks made it sound like a bomb. The exhaust donut on the left manifold was shot, the tail pipes were perforated and the mufflers were blown out. Now it has a nice low rumble and is more pleasing to drive. The factory trans line had a hole in it that revealed itself by dripping on me while I was fitting the head pipe. Good thing it happed on the lift, rather than on the road.
