Anzio, Italy – Roman Emperor Nero Had a Villa Here

Billy shows you first hand the ruins of Emperor Nero’s villa at Anzio Beach, not far from our hotel. Anzio Beach is also the location of the Battle of Anzio which began January 22, 1944 and ended June 5, 1944, the day before D-Day in Normandy, France. Beautiful beach. Lots of history here.
