050618 Like and subscribe. This is an archive, check the link in the end if you are. An educational, hopefully enjoyable, brief look back at Early Computer Magnetic Tape Units (1951 to 1968). Vintage photos & film show a variety of early hardware, including IBM 726-729 Tape Units, IBM NORC, early AMPEX drives used by GE for ERMA, NCR and other systems.
