Gilgamesh known as Nimrod
Gilgamesh found. Known as Nimrod in Holy texts. (The Bible)
Genesis 10:8 Nimrod, great grandson of Noah
Genesis 6:4 Giants we’re on the earth before and after the flood
Genesis 10:9-10 Nimrod’s kingdom was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh. “Land of Shinar”
Numbers 13:28 Other giants connected to the line of Ham, through Nimrod. Called “Sons of Anak” (Anunnaki)
According to the historian Josephus, Nimrod “said he would be revenged on God, if he should have a mind to drown the world again, that he would build a tower too high for the waters to reach. And that he would avenge himself on God for destroying their forefathers” (Antiquities of the Jews, Book 1, Chapter 4). The motive, according to Josephus, for building the Tower of Babel was to protect humanity against another flood. But the reason for the first flood was humanity’s wickedness and rebellion (Genesis 6:5–6)
