Good evening. Great is His faithfulness.

Readings- The Sermon on the Mount- Matthew 5:1-2

The Blessings and Woes of the Kingdom- Matthew 5:3-12- Luke 6:20-26

Salt and Light - Matthew 5:13-20

A New Way of thinking - Matthew 5:21-6:1-4- Luke 6:27-36

A new way of thinking starts with spiritual maturity and in tonight's readings we see how this can be accomplished by following the Words that were both spoke and taught by Him and we must apply them, be active doers of good deeds just not hearers of spiritual words. We see in Matthew 5:3-12 the blessings mean to be blessed spiritually with spiritual happiness rather than earthly happiness and comfort. These areas in which we are blessed are areas where God can be found if you are in search of Him (Christ) our God. Lastly a new way of thinking starts with having the scales removed our eyes. In tonight's readings we learned that there is no partiality with God no matter the sin it's all the same to Him, because we are all judged the same. There is no jusfying our sins to God, because we can't be like the Pharisee who in the Temple praying ridiculed the tax collector who was in the temple praying, asking for mercy, the Pharisee was arrogant and prideful.
