Backpacking at LBJ Grasslands and camping at Black Creek Lake

my friend Heidi and I take our 4 +1 boys backpacking at LBJ National Grasslands on part of the white trail, and across the fence to camp overnight at Black Creek Lake. We left one vehicle at Tadra Point at LBJ Grasslands, and left one vehicle at Black Creek Lake with some of our camping gear. The white trail is normally a 9.2 mile loop but we knew the boys couldn't do that, so we backpacked 6.3 miles total after hiking 1 mile off trail. oops. We love having LBJ National Grasslands only an hour away, they have been great for quick overnight backpacking trips with friends and for longer trails than what you would find at our local state parks.
