Chronological Bible in a Year 2023 - May 13, Day 133 - 2 Samuel 11-12, 1 Chronicles 20

Welcome to Day 133, May 13th, 2023. We read of David's sin of laying with Bathsheba, Uriah's wife. After she reveals she's pregnant, David sends for Uriah and tries to get him to go to Bathsheba, but he wouldn't. This causes David to send Uriah to the frontlines of the battle to kill him. This happens and David marries Bathsheba. Prophet Nathan comes to David and tells how displeased the Lord is with David and that the sword would never depart from his house. Battles are won by David's men as they defeat more giants of the Philistines.
