Kaohsiung Light Rail 環狀輕軌 construction progress [episode 07] 🇹🇼 (2023-03) {aerial}

Footage covers a section of the northern and eastern parts of phase II of the LRT line that is currently in parts under construction at Zuoying District, Sanming District, Lingya District, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. The track follows for some six kilometers Dashun Road from Boai Road intersection to Kaisyuan Park. Views along the alignment include C25 Sin-shan Elementary School 新上國小, C26 Wanzihnei 灣仔內, C27 Dingshan Street 鼎山街, C28 Kaohsiung Industrial High School 高雄高工, C29 Shu-Te Home Economics & Commercial High School 樹德家商, C30 Science and Technology Museum 科工館, and C31 St. Joseph Hospital 聖功醫院 stations.
Works on this section of the line are very demanding. Dashun Road is a very busy road. Space for the construction site is very limited in some areas. Many level crossings have to be built at busy intersections with other major roads. Existing utility pipes and lines have to be adjusted. Large rain trees on the median have to be handled carefully; some have to be relocated to other locations in the city. The Love River crossing is another area of particular attention.
Filming was carried out in February and March 2023.
