Zac Hyden graduated from UC Berkeley and went back to his home state of Alabama to use his knowledge and activism skills in political organizing. He later formed a mutual aid non-profit Automotive Free Clinic which is part of a collective called Sand Mountain Cooperative Education Center.

AFC helps low income people in the Montgomery area get affordable car repair in a community that is known for the Rosa Parks refusal to give up her front seat on a public bus which now doesn't have good public transportation.

The conversation also goes into topics of solutions, the economic role of the U.S. south and the global south, body autonomy, comparing activism in the 1960s to 2023, and more.
