YouTuber to Plead Guilty for Crashing Plane Intentionally, Obstructing Investigation
Trevor Jacob, a YouTuber who intentionally crashed a plane for views, will plead guilty to obstructing a federal investigation by tampering with the crash site, according to US prosecutors. In a plea agreement, Jacob admitted to filming the plane crash as part of a product sponsorship deal.
He could face up to 20 years in prison for the felony count of destruction and concealment with intent to obstruct a federal investigation. The crash video on YouTube garnered over 2.9 million views, raising suspicions among viewers.
