FDA approves drug to treat hot flashes from menopause

On Friday, the FDA approved once-a-day pill Veozah to treat hot flashes brought on by menopause. Made by Japanese pharmaceutical company Astellas Pharma, the medication is an alternative to traditional hormone therapy that blocks receptors in the brain that regulate body temperature.
