Sec. Mayorkas: The broken immigration system was dismantled by the Trump administration

In an interview with CNN on Thursday, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said securing the southern border’s surge of immigration after the end of Title 42 by transitioning to immigration enforcement authorities will take some time before seeing success. Sec. Mayorkas added that America was dealing with a broken immigration system that was dismantled by the previous administration.
