Orphaned Raccoon

My shihtzu Ziggy found a raccoon kit. It was in wet grass at the base of a tree. I waited to see if the mother would return but she did not. The kit had a small abrasion on her arm and was cold and wet. The umbilical cord was dried, and she was likely only 2 days old. I have a friend that is licensed to rehab wildlife here in Oklahoma. She’s being raised by her, and will be released when she is weaned and can forage for herself.
