The Old Fashioned Masonic Podcast team talked about Sheldon’s journey through Masonry and how Masonry has changed over the years. Sheldon was a fixture in the Venture House Project that had Albert Pike Masons working an event around Christmas and Thanksgiving to feed the homeless in the Wichita area.

In 1999, he served on the Public Schools committee and implemented The Albert Pike Teacher of the Year Award that went on for 17 years.
In 2005, he oversaw the move of Albert Pike Lodge from the Scottish Rite building to their new home at the Kansas Masonic Home. Editor of the Albert Pike Lodge Newsletter from 2008 through 2012.

Brief Masonic Bio:
• Raised in 1996 at Albert Pike Lodge the first Statewide Grand Master’s All The Way in One Day Class. That class raised 277 Master Masons, 385 Scottish Rite Masons and 384 Shriners.
• Joined Wichita Scottish Rite in 1996;
• Joined Midian Shrine in 1996.
• Served as Master of Albert Pike Lodge in 2007.
• 2007 - Received the M.W. Chester L Gilbert Traveling Trophy; presented to that year’s Most Outstanding Lodge Officer in Kansas.
• 2007 – Recognition from Midian Shrine as the Lodge Officer of the Year.
• Served the Kansas Grand Lodge as a District Deputy Grand Master 2008.
• 2008 Albert Pike Mason of the Year.
• Served as Treasurer/Secretary of Albert Pike Lodge for multiple years.
• Served as Trustee for Albert Pike Lodge from 2014 through 2019.
• Received 25 Year Pin in 2021.
