A fun game of combat/jousting, for all ages and sizes. Small people can beat large people at this game! It's mostly about balance.
Rules:
1. Start at the end of the beam, work toward the middle.
2. No head or groin shots
3. If your foot or baton touches the ground, your opponent gets a point.
Materials used:
1 - 4" x 6" x 12' Douglas fir beam
1 - 4" x 15' roll of grip/traction tape
2 - metal nail stakes (one at each end of the beam to fasten it to the earth)
4 - metal straps to provide sockets for metal stakes
24 - #10 x 2" screws to fasten metal straps to beam ends
You can play up to 5 points, or 10, or whatever you choose.
The batons are called "batakas", "foam bats" or "sparring pads"
