In Agile and Scrum, an Epic is a large body of work that is broken down into smaller, more manageable pieces called user stories. Epics are typically too big to be completed in a single iteration or sprint, so they are divided into smaller, more specific stories that can be tackled more easily. The purpose of breaking down Epics into user stories is to make them more manageable and easier to estimate, prioritize, and track progress.
