Visiting physicists Mia Hughes and David Chester chat in the QGR kitchen. Schrodinger derived his famous equation using a statistical modification of the Hamilton-Jacobi theory of classical mechanics. This has mostly been forgotten in modern physics, since Schrodinger's equation is taken as a fundamental postulate of quantum mechanics, whose origin is rarely discussed.
