Garcia made his bare-knuckle boxing debut look easy, describing his inaugural BKFC effort as no different than a street fight and indicated his appreciation that nobody tried to “pull nothing bad out” on him during the throwdown.

His journey within BKFC began started with the tryouts and where Garcia was one of the few selected from the crop of hungry talent that came out. Garcia carries with him a 7-2 amateur record in gloved boxing and has been involved in the sweet science since he was a little kid.

Chris Garcia knew his opponent had a jiu jitsu background as well as some kickboxing experience. He also heard that his adversary had a boxing background too but tape on Carroll was in short supply while preparing for the prizefight.

As far as his round-by-round breakdown of the bout, Garcia said, “You know, round one, I was like let me feel him out. Let me see what he’s bringing to the table. You know, he is taller than me. He does have a longer reach. So, you know, I was just trying to just get comfortable and, you know, round two, I felt a little bit better, you know?”

As far as what dropped Carroll to the canvas in the second stanza and the thoughts on round three as well, Garcia stated, “You know, honestly, I don’t; I don’t remember. I just - I got to go back and replay and watch it. But, I believe it was a body shot. So, oh, I’m not sure, you know. You know, the adrenaline was high, you know? I don’t even remember, to be honest.”

Garcia has been waiting for this opportunity since early December on another BKFC foray in the sunshine state. The Florida native (of Clewiston specifically) was clearly invigorated by the partisan support of the crowd supporting a fellow Floridian engaging in fistic fireworks.

Garcia quipped towards the end of the post-fight interview with BKN that he was “blessed” and “happy” to be able to fight at a venue as nice as the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
