This is a comparative Bible study on the events surrounding the beginning of Jesus' Galilean ministry. This 29th part further discusses the accusation of the Pharisees that Jesus' disciples did something unlawful on the sabbath day while traveling through the corn fields, in particular Jesus' response using the account of David eating the shewbread. This Bible study is within a sub-series that we have begun to study regarding Jesus being asked questions about the sabbath (Matthew 12:1-14; Mark 2:23 – 3:6; Luke 6:1-11). Other verses referenced during this Bible study are: Deuteronomy 5:14; Numbers 15:33-35; Exodus 16:26-28; Romans 8:2-4; Leviticus 24:5-9; 1 Samuel 21:3-6. Overall, this is our 69th New Testament (NT) Bible study. I'm a layperson, hoping to witness things I believe I've learned through Bible study, and would like to share this information as a friend would with a friend.
