Watch: Annual Mitchell's Plain Career Expo
South Africa - Cape Town - 10 May 2023 - Education is one of the most vital ways to defeat poverty, inequality, and unemployment in South Africa. In the spirit of leaving no one behind, the Department of Government Communication and Information Systems (GCIS) in partnership with the Mitchell’s Plain Advice Office will convene the annual Mitchell Plain Career Expo. The primary objective of the Expo is to expose unemployed youth and learners from 21 High Schools in Mitchell’s Plain to career and tertiary study opportunities in Government and the Private Sector. This Expo will further provide access for students to apply for bursary opportunities available to further their studies and focus on unemployed youth from Mitchells Plain, Cape Flats, and surrounding areas through education on skills development and entrepreneurship.
