Family Videos Part 2
Back in the 1960's dad ventured into home video photography. These many years later we are so thankful that he made this decision. 8mm film becomes very brittle over time. Through out the years, technology has changed dramatically when it comes to preserving these 8mm films. Mother and dad, using 1980's technology had the film converted to VHS which was state of the art at the time. Recent technology allows for the scanning of the original film directly to digital. Modern software allows for the conversion of a digital file to a 16:9 resolution that plays nicely on current devices like televisions and cell phones. Hopefully family and friends will be able to enjoy mother and dad's films, long into the future.
