We review the Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3, compare it to the Dell G series as well as the Lenovo Legions, to see if this is a laptop worth buying!

*Specs* - This thing is packed with some serious heavy hitting power including DDR5 RAM, a 144hz LCD, NVMe storage and an RTX 3050 graphics card. If you're into some casual to mid-level gaming this is going to offer you a fantastic experience for that.

*LCD* - While we love the higher refresh rate of the LCD, we do wish it was a little crisper and a little brighter. 250nits is nothing to write home about and under direct light will be someone problematic. The Legion series machines get 165hz / 300nit screens so Lenovo intentionally watered down the LCD here so not to cannibalize on itself. Pair that with FHD and no touch capabilities and you have a very basic LCD that Dell did better on their G15.

*Keyboard and Trackpad* - Not terrible overall!

Would I recommend it? Yes. You're getting a lot of power on a budget. Reliable, but no frills - but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
