While speaking to reporters outside a New York federal court house on Wednesday, Representative George Santos (R-NY) said it “makes no sense” that he was indicted in the span of four to five months while President Joe Biden’s family remains free from federal investigation. The lawmaker said 9 members of the Biden family have alleged been involved in foreign financial transactions yet had no probe launched into their business dealings. Earlier that day, Rep. Santos pled not guilty to seven counts of wire fraud, three counts of money laundering, one count of theft of public funds, and two counts of making false statements to the House of Representatives.
