Best pre-workout carb before the gym? It's the potato!
Looking to get better results in the gym? Eat potatoes early and often! Very often!
Potatoes are loaded with starch which for gym goers, is the ideal pre workout carb. Think of glucose carbs as pennies, a starch is a bunch of glucose molecules fused together, much like a roll of pennies! So when you eat potatoes, imagine breaking open rolls of pennies. Just as the pennies fall onto the table, the glucose molecules release into your blood stream.
And because they are loaded with water, they are actually a high volume-low calorie food! This is perfect for losing body fat as we get to enjoy eating food while at the same time keeping calories down!
