Too expensive, but high quality, and interchangeable with other mugs.

Some care went into the design of the cup. For example, the handle design is unique to what I’ve seen in the past. The bottom corners of the handles touch so that the upper part of the handles maintain space and a better grip in the hand. That’s nice. However, the set is still too expensive, in my opinion.

Also, I would never carry a dainty cup like this into the backcountry. It has no bail handle for hanging, the handles it does have do not extend far enough out from the cup to be able to easily get it in and out of a fire without burning yourself, and the whole thing feels like a children’s play tea party set. I’m sticking with the gold-standard Crusader Cup.

Fortunately the pour over elements that came with the Valtcan cup work with my Crusader Cup, and I imagine it also works with most any other cups and mugs you folks are rockin’ out there.
