Survey Reveals Students’ Willingness to Re-Enroll
Top news right now: A new poll by Gallup has revealed that nearly half of all students who stopped out of their university degree programs would be willing to return to school if their student loans were canceled. This comes as the Biden administration's controversial student debt policy, which would cancel $10,000 per borrower and $20,000 per borrower for Pell Grant recipients, is being examined by the Supreme Court. The survey also found that the average federal student loan balance is $38,000, and that nearly two-thirds of individuals who maintain student loan balances are refraining from making payments due to pandemic relief measures. Critics argue that the policy would increase the national debt and cause distortions in the postsecondary education market. Follow Next News for more breaking news.
