Redefining NPCs as “Not *Presently* Conscious.”

Sometimes I inadvertently shift into NPC mode then come back like “damnit! The game/narrative took over.” It’s usually when I lose my temper. Then I gotta deal with the consequences after. This week has been particularly trying but over time I’m finding that there are certain physiological cues that can alert me to the fact that my consciousness may be phasing out, allowing me to pause and try to pull myself back in and not go auto-pilot.

It really does help me ti view this world as some sort of Awareness Training Program.
