Ryan Hoover talks about his realization that the fights he saw in movies and martial arts demonstrations didn't resemble any real fights he had been in. He then discovered Krav Maga and started to enhance his skill sets by doing Jujitsu and Muay Thai. However, he still found gaps in his training, particularly in the lack of transition between stand-up and ground fighting. His interest in Krav Maga stemmed from personal development as well as the desire to be able to teach others how to defend themselves effectively.
