The Seven Primal Questions

Knowing and understanding one's Primal Question is essential for personal growth and fulfillment. According to Mike Foster's book "The Seven Primal Questions," there are seven fundamental questions that humans ask themselves at a subconscious level. These questions revolve around our basic needs for safety, security, love, acceptance, success, worthiness, and purpose.
The first question is "Am I safe?" This question addresses our need for physical and emotional safety and security. People who ask this question may feel anxious and afraid in uncertain situations, leading them to prioritize safety over adventure and risk-taking.

The second question is "Am I secure?" This question relates to our financial stability and sense of financial security. Those who ask this question may worry about their financial future and prioritize financial security over other aspects of their lives.
The third question is "Am I loved?" This question is about our need for love and connection. People who ask this question may have a deep desire for affection and validation from others and may struggle with feelings of loneliness and rejection.

The fourth question is "Am I wanted?" This question pertains to our sense of belonging and acceptance. Those who ask this question may seek validation and approval from others and may struggle with feelings of rejection or exclusion.

The fifth question is "Am I successful?" This question revolves around our need for achievement and recognition. People who ask this question may prioritize success over other aspects of their lives and may struggle with feelings of inadequacy and failure.

The sixth question is "Am I good enough?" This question relates to our self-worth and sense of value. Those who ask this question may struggle with feelings of low self-esteem and self-doubt, leading them to seek validation from others.

The seventh and final question is "Do I have a purpose?" This question pertains to our sense of meaning and fulfillment in life. People who ask this question may feel lost or unsure of their purpose, leading them to seek clarity and direction.

Understanding our Primal Question can provide us with insight into our deepest desires and motivations. By identifying our fundamental needs and addressing them, we can grow, fulfill our potential, and live a more fulfilling life. We all probably ask most of these questions of ourselves, throughout our lives, but there will be one that leaps off the page at you, and it can be the one that can be life changing for you once you recognize it.

For me #7, Do I have a purpose? caused an immediate gut reaction in me. While most may see me as purpose driven, they might not see that I'm driven because it's so important for me to have a purpose, because I'm always challenging whether or not I'm achieving a worthy purpose. If you are so inclined, I'd love to know which of the 7 Primal Questions called out to you just now.
