Detective Jacob Beu Rutherford County Sheriff's Office, Tennessee End of Watch Sunday, May 7, 2023

Detective Jacob Beu suffered fatal injuries in a Sunday crash on Armstrong Valley Road, according to a statement from Sheriff Mike Fitzhugh. Beu was rushed from the scene to Ascension St. Thomas Rutherford, ultimately succumbing to his injuries.

He was promoted to patrol corporal in March 2021, then again last year to narcotics detective. He also served on the SWAT team and was awarded for his response during Waverly and Humphreys County floods.

Detective Beu was a United States Marine Corps veteran who served with Rutherford County Sheriff's Office for six years and was assigned to the Narcotics Division for one year.
