Hendersonville Mayor & City Council meeting on May 9

I went to the Hendersonville Mayor & City Council meeting on May 9. This meeting was full of the board praising each other for the wonderful work they did to bring the DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) consultant to Hendersonville. They were proud to have spent $150,000 of city tax payer’s money to tell Hendersonville that they need to support the transgender movement. They were also proud to announce that they were the “true” Christians because they love everyone.

So, what did the board learn from this DEI study? According to the board’s own words, they learned that they need to put more pictures on the website. (I can’t even type this without laughing, they really did say this at the meeting.) They feel it will help people when they go to their website. If that was such a problem, they did not need to spend $150,000 to figure that one out.

Knowing what DEI is pushing in the community and even in the schools, I can only imagine the kind of pictures they might be talking about.

Once again Jeff Groh stood up to represent all of our communities who do not want this to come to Henderson County. He stood up even after the board had their fun attacking him for his comments at the last meeting. DEI does not “include” Bible believing conservative Christians. According to the City Council, people who support DEI are the true Christians. They love to tell us what the Bible says because reading the Bible for ourselves doesn’t matter to them. They know better.

Listen to Jeff Groh as he stood to speak for all of us.
