Following the death of her husband last year, Kouri Richins, who had previously authored a children’s book on grief, has been arrested and charged with his murder.

Authorities in Utah arrested Richins on Monday, alleging that she poisoned her husband, Eric Richins, with a lethal dose of fentanyl at their residence in Kamas, a small mountain town near Park City, the Associated Press has reported.

According to prosecutors, Richins contacted the authorities in March 2022 during the night, reporting that her husband was unresponsive and “cold to the touch.”
