Pakistan’s ex-PM Imran Khan arrested, sparking violence

Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, was apprehended and forcefully taken from the court on Tuesday to face charges related to multiple corruption cases.

This development has led to heightened political tensions and sparked violent demonstrations by his fervent supporters across the major cities of the country.

Despite being ousted through a vote of no-confidence in April 2022, Imran Khan remains a prominent opposition figure, the Associated Press reported.
