The Russian and Turkish Presidents met one-on-one on the sidelines of the CICA summit in Kazakhstan, as Vladimir Putin broached the concept of developing a pipeline and gas hub in Türkiye, if interest in the proposal is reciprocated.
Putin added that he could be a platform not only for deliveries, but also for determining prices, while pointing out gas supplies to Türkiye are in full, the country turned out to be the most reliable partner.
“Thank God the Turkish Stream pipeline is still working,” Putin added, referencing attempts to blow it up, while stressing Türkiye has been the most reliable route for supplying gas to Europe.
