CDC to test sewage from commercial airplanes for Covid-19 variants

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has teamed up with the San Francisco International Airport on a program to collect sewage from commercial flights to test for emerging Covid-19 variants. CDC partner Concentric by Ginkgo installed an automatic device to regularly collect wastewater from various international flights, SFO said Tuesday.
