BFGC - May 7, 2023 Seeking Godly Fellowship

The Bible commands all believers in Yeshua to spend time in fellowship with other born again, Spirit Filled believers, and to not accept excuses for those who don't. Most believers today have no idea why fellowship is critical to the Body of Christ, mainly because the modern church has watered down the definition of what constitutes Godly Fellowship and many believers actually think Godly Fellowship is about them and their benefit. If they don't feel like they need it, they don't feel the need to participate and find a Bible group to support. Hanging out together and eating food as a group, is socializing and does not replace times of Bible Study, sharing testimonies, or learning about God as an assembly of believers. Godly fellowship that is commanded for believers today should always include the Gospel Message of salvation, the Works and Glory of Yeshua, testimonies of what God is doing in your life, and even the lessons and chastisements of God in your daily life. If Godly Fellowship is practiced among the redeemed of God, maturity and spiritual growth will occur and the younger believers will have an opportunity to learn true discipleship, by watching others live out their testimonies and by sharpening their spiritual swords in practice.Show more
