DOJ Criminally Charges Rep. George Santos; Will Appear In Federal Court

On Wednesday, he will apparently appear in federal court, according to CNN, which cited "three sources familiar with the matter."

Although CNN has speculated that the charges may stem from the lawmaker's campaign finance disclosures, those documents remain under secrecy.

In the midterm elections of 2022, Santos flipped a close congressional district. However, he was soon under fire for making false claims about his experience and education in his campaign.
