DOD announces $1.2 billion military aid package for Ukraine

Pentagon Press Secretary Air Force Brigadier General Pat Ryder announced a new security assistance package from the Department of Defense to “reaffirm steadfast U.S. support for Ukraine” in a press conference Tuesday. Brig. Gen. Ryder says the $1.2 billion package is provided under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative and includes air-defense systems.
