After escaping from an American prison, Gilbert Galvan Jr. finds refuge in Canada. He falls in love with social worker Andrea and decides to provide her with all the benefits by starting to rob banks. Gilbert leads a double life, trying to leave no trace and remain inconspicuous. But maintaining this balance proves difficult, especially when he faces the dangers and risks associated with his criminal activities. Gilbert, a skilled burglar, uses his skills to cover his tracks to keep his freedom and Andrea a comfortable life.
