Bellingham Winco/Lowes Encampment Camp Breakdown - May 9th, 2023

Briefly but in confirmation of the city eviction action, Bellingham Police Department and officials, as well as those from neighboring businesses cordoned off the homeless encampment for cleanup and disposal.

Police were addressing those coming to film including myself and restated the private businesses' ownership of the road and the wishes of those who have been evicted of their wish for privacy.

Still, many others around the area were watching and cautioning even in days prior about the movement of squatters possibly moving/relocating in their residences/businesses even as far as recalling prior encroachments on their property as they recounted to other observers and even security from observing the encampment at back of Lowes and Winco.

Police started on the breakdown with many located in full-body gear to observe the location before they fully moved in around 7 am to dismantle the notorious encampment. The Winco emcampment has been the site of numerous loitering, drug-overdosing, as well as various other felonies/abuses that have only recently become scrutinized in the Bellingham courts and political offices.
